In October 2022, Cameron Sullivan, Space and Procurement Administrator for the U.S. Courts, District of Idaho, reached out while researching the state’s other Liberty Bell replica in Pocatello and was kind enough to send some photos of the 1950 Paccard replica at the Idaho Statehouse in Boise.

Yes, you can ring it. I did a few weeks ago.
Laura,
That’s great! I updated the page. So few of these bells are actually ringable. Motivation to get to Idaho!
Tom,
My interest in the Liberty Bell and the replicas dates all the way back to 1992 and the replica in Sacramento tucked out of the way behind the capitol building. I have been in Idaho these last twenty years. I have been critical of both California and Idaho’s neglect and lack of care and display of their replicas. I consider myself a PR type of guy that is creative like yourself and view the lack of care and dignity shown regarding these replicas and what they represent in need of a public relations plan to focus attention on turning things around and promoting the proper care, display, and preservation of these bells for the educational value (refer to plaque accompanying Japan’s bell which you posted) for these children today and in the future. Would like to discuss PR plan and strategy to do this that would extend beyond just Idaho. I have a concurrent state senate resolution prepared and ready to go to open the door to a children’s project to raise money to refurbish our Liberty Bell replica #22 here, and restore the bell and importantly create a classic Greek gazebo like you have there in Nebraska and position it right at the front steps of the Capitol building where the bell is currently located, replacing that gawd-awful contemporary poured concrete display that contrasts with the Capitol buildings classical architecture. Most importantly, the PR in having children raise the money themselves statewide is of utmost importance, that they be invested in this effort and make it theirs, and further, plan on exploiting the educational opportunity with the children as essential. No corporate or business sponsors as such to carry the day is wanted that takes away from the children garnering the achievement and pride connected with this effort. Would appreciate your thoughts. I have been following your work for a long time and recognize the huge value in your pursuit of your own goals regarding these important bells.
